Cisco is dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable, and harassment-free experience for every participant at DevNet Create. DevNet Create is a working conference intended for professional networking and collaboration as participants share new ways to create and innovate application and infrastructure development. This event exists to encourage the open exchange of ideas and expression and requires an environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group. While at DevNet Create or related ancillary or social events, all participants, including speakers, attendees, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, booth staff, and anyone else, are strictly prohibited from engaging in harassment in any form.
All event participants must behave in accordance with this Code of Conduct, their respective employer’s policies governing appropriate workplace behavior, and all applicable laws and professional standards. Event participants are expected to:
Harassment will not be tolerated in any form, including but not limited to harassment based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, political status, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, and/or any other status protected by laws in which the conference or program is being held. Harassment includes the use of abusive, offensive, or degrading language, intimidation, stalking/following, infringement of personal space, disruption of talks/sessions, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, sexual imagery, and unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors.
Anyone who witnesses, is subjected to, or has any concerns relating to unacceptable behavior should notify a member of event staff immediately. All reports will be kept anonymous. Event staff can be identified by t-shirts/staff badges onsite and an organizer can be found at the event registration counter at any time. All reports will be addressed immediately.
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. Any participant asked to stop unacceptable behavior must comply immediately. If, in Cisco’s sole discretion, an attendee has engaged in unacceptable behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate without any notice, warning, or refund, including but not limited to a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from the conference and reporting the attendee to law enforcement authorities.
